Upgradation of PC

by dalmanipathak . Updated 19 years, 6 months ago

Hi everyone!

I am new to this forum and new to hardware tech of computers. I am working in a school where computers are old.The system configuration is

Motherboard: P6STP-FL (Flex-ATX Mainboard with 4 layer printed circuit board and PPGA370 processor socket.
Processor: pentium II MMX
CPU clock 600 MHz
Base Memory: 8832K
Extendet Memory: 23552 K
Cache Memory: 128 K
RAM : 32 MB
HDD: 4.3GB

My questions are:
i) Is it possible to use 40 GB hard disk on it?

ii) Is it useful to upgrade the PC with RAM -128 MB and HDD-40 GB?

iii)If not what can I do to upgrade the PCs to work at a minimal use?

iv)I don’t need very sophisticated softwares as the PCs are meant for primary class studnets.
