upgrade from NT 4.0 disabled local accts

By NetLion ·
I upgraded my home workstations from NT 4.0 SP6 to Windows 2000 SP2 and now I can only log on with the account I was in when I started the upgrade. Any thoughts so I can get the other local accounts working? My wife would sure like her account back. :-)

Thanks!

I had a similar problem (lost my account, don't remember why). Just created a new one and moved all of the files and such to a new directory. Had to change various references from AAA0 to AAAX but worked OK.

Question: Were you logged in to Administrator when you did the upgrade? My 'personal' account is admin prived and I do some installs/upgrade from there. Not always with the desired results (doesn't show on Admin login sometimes, and vice versa).

Watching this one, going to Win 2k 'soon'.
