Upgrade from Vista to W7 with a Lenovo laptop

By qeh15334 ·
When I upgraded from Vista to W7, it would appear that much of the Lenovo software was left behind. I have in my "Computer" screen two Lenovo "disks" or "partitions" plus my "C" disk. It take almost 2 minutes to load from scratch Would appreciate any advice or fixes.

I suggest a clean load

I would first download all the required drivers for w7 and that laptop. then install a clean copy of Windows 7 after formatting the C drive. Or your can remove the lenovo partitions if they are factory images of the vista environment if you want..

Easy way is to Backup anything you want to keep

Then hit the HDD with something like Boot & Nuke or Kill Disc to wipe the HDD before installing 7.

As said above make sure to download any Drivers that you need for the system before doing this though.
