Upgrade from Windows ME?

By TPCosmo ·
Is it possible to upgrade from Win ME to Win 2000 pro without formatting my HD. The Microsoft site reports that 'an upgrade' is not possible. Has anyone installed 2000 onto a ME workstation without flattening the drive first?
Thanks a lot.

Upgrade from Windows ME?

We have a customer that tried this.
It bombed big time.
Fortunately they have tape backup.

I would wait until the next release of Windows.
This is supposed to have the NT kernel with the extensive drivers of Win98/ME.
Regards, Chris

No, the upgrade is not possible and it created
more problems whereas I had to wipe the drive and start over.
Anyway a clean install is a better option.
