upgrade my bios

I did not find your motherboard listed at ACorp's site either.

This means that it is either an older board that is no longer supported, or an OEM board.

If it is an OEM board, and you can identify the company that made the original PC that it came from, they may be able to help you.

Otherwise, you have 2 options:

1. Download and use the bios/drive overlay utility from the drive manufactures web site.
I don't like using these, as they often cause problems. Most importantly, you need to follow a special sequence to boot from a floppy with one of these programs installed.

2. Purchase and install a PCI IDE controller card. Not only will the controller recognize the full capacity of your hard drive, it will also allow the driveto run at it's full rated file transfer rate.
You can usually find these cards for under $30 at many web-tailers.

There are companies that will sell you a custom BIOS. But at $60 or so, I just don't think it is worth the cost. www.unicore.com
