Upgrade SCO Openserver hard drive

By v.lepouce ·
I need to replace my old hard drive with a newer one in the same machine. I am using scsi drives. Is it possible to clone the old drive to the newer one and save a considerable amount of time?

Upgrade SCO Openserver hard drive

You may try Patition Image for Linux/Unix. Be warned, it is still in development, but it may fit the bill.. You can get it at http://www.partimage.org/
You could also use Nortons Ghost by booting to a DOS floppy and loading all the appropiate drivers for your SCSI controller and whatnot. I would definitely try Partition Image first....

Then again, here is an article by a gentleman who used the dd command in a shell script to create an image.

Good luck, whichever you decide to try....
