Upgrade usb 1.1 computer to usb 2.0

By archie ·
I have a computer with 3 usb 1.1 ports only and I would like to be able to move up to usb 2.0 for the improved speed of transfer. Is there any simple conversion for older computers running Win XP Home?

The best option is to add a 4 port USB 2 PCI card.

Really it is your only option as anything else requires a replacement M'Board and whatever else goes along with the new M'Board. Depending on CPU type this could range from just a new M'Board to almost a new computer by requiring M'Board, CPU and RAM.

Colin's right. Get a $20.00 card and be done with it.
