Hi, one of our partners (we’re a doctors surgery in the NHS – UK) is renting space in our premises & will be carrying out some services for us. However they’ve bought a Vista Home Premium PC.
A key piece of software they need to use will run under XP Pro or Vista Business. If I down grade the PC to XP, the manufacturer will not honour the warranty. If I go for Business they will (although support now gets supplied by MS & not the hardware vendor).
All my investigations tell me that the upgrade to Business even from Home Premium is a clean install & not in place. This means that I’ll have to re-install everything – anyone know any way around this?
The PC came with Vista on it no media except for the recovery disks I created – naff practice.
