Hi, I’m looking to upgrade a socket 7 CPU in a Hewlett Packard 7270 PC with Intel 166. I want to go to a 233MMX, however, as with all prop computers, there is no mainboard manual or info. I heard from someone that these “jumperless” Mainboards can just have the CPU popped in and away you go. I’m leary of this.
Does anybody know where I can get tech manuals for these boards or was this guy right?
