Upgrading from 98 to 2000

I upgraded an hp compaq d330 series from windows 98 to windows 2000. However, the broadcom gigabit ethernet network adapter does not work with windows 2000 and as a result the LAN icon does not appear in network and dialup connections hence I can’t configure the machine for the network.
