I have a Hewlett Packard Pavilion model 9600c that I had configured about 3 years ago. It has a P3 733mhz Slot 1 processor. I have upgraded the rest of the computer throughout the years but I would like to upgrade the processor now. What is the fastest that I can use. I have not been able to find a Slot 1 processor fast enough for me to do the upgrade. Would jumpers also need to be set or is is just a plug in? How do I know what voltage and other information to use. Please help me. I have upgraded everything in computers but this is my first time upgrading a processor.
