Hi, I am a complete rookie to IT so my question is this, I am upgrading my Compaq Presario laptop RAM from 1 GB to 2 GB. I am also upgrading the Hard drive from 120GB 5400 rpm to 250 GB 7200 rpm. Aside from how to unscrew and pop in the components (which I can do) What else will I have to do? I know nothing but have managed to read a little bit here and there about installing a new OS (Windows 7??) and something about BIOS? Please help.
