Upgrading to Windows 2000

By NotYetanMCSE ·
Can a network still run with the following configuration:
DHCP - WINNT
DNS - WINNT
BDC - WINNT
PDC - Upgraded to Win2K

I am unable to get any machine to log into teh domain...

No, I believe DNS has to be on Win2K

You have to have DNS in the W2K server (it is the first DC, forget about PDC and BDC when talking about W2K Server. And yes, it can, but you have to delete the DNS from the NT server and recreate another one - secondary zone - on it.

So, no matter what anyone says, there is no way DNS in NT
will work once the PDC has been upgraded to Win2K? I need
to get this straightened out so that I can explain it clearly to
my boss and coworkers...
