Did you try system restore? Using a time before your child played the game?

Right click on a blank area of the desktop and select properties.

You will need to look through the display settings and perhaps the advanced settings for the Adapter.
Find the screen that controls screen rotation.
Adjust the rotation as needed.

If there is a "hot-key" for changing screen rotation, you might want to disable it if that option is present.

If you cannot disable the hot-key, note the hot-key sequence for future use.

Whats the make/model of the PC or laptop (a common feature of some models)?

Does your computer have an ATI Radeon type card? If so there should be a small ATI icon in your taskbar at the the bottom right corner, if you right click on it you should be able to find an option to turn your screen every way you can possible think of. Make sure Jr. (or someone else) didn't go exploring and decided not to tell you. I know this one from experience, i have kids too
