URGENT! - ? about NT Security and user profiles....

By michael.burgess ·
I work for an organization that is till on Windows NT Server.
We have a domain and our users are authenticated with NT Security. We have Windows 2000 machines that are centrally located for some of our users to access the net... These machines have ONE specific login for everyone... A new policy that forbids this.
How do I setup these PC's to allow these people to login and browse the Internet w/o the need to setup multiple users on the PC's and configure them for Internet access etc.

I would like a way to have these users login or have a way to track who is using the PC when w/o the need to set all of these profiles up...

I have came accross the same issue. I don't think there is a way. or unless you create a batch file that deletes the profiles. or You need to setup roaming profiles so that the profiles are stored on the server and when someone logs in to a computer all there settings are the same.

Setup the login names on you windows nt servers. Point the profile to the same path on the server. Log in as one of the users and setup the profile. Once finished logout and login as an administrator. Go to the profile on the server and change the ntuser.dat to
This will keep any other changes from saving in the profile and allow all logins that point to that profile to use it.
