Urgent:IE dnloads a page, not display it

By wxcheng ·
After updating NAV4.0's virus definition
files (0104i32.exe), many of our
computers went mad.

When you type in an url (e.g.
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/) in
the address bar of IE5, IE does not
display the default page, but pop up
File Download Window asking to download
IE from site
(http://www.microsoft.com/windows).

Reinstall IE won't fix this problem.

NAV changed any IE setting ?

Try this anti-virus if yours is not working well. I have had good luck since my last attack that took out both of my hard drives.
At the search window, type in "AVG" and hit enter. There should be a selection that says "FREE Download" or something like that. Download it and let it take the headache out of this ugly virus stuff that is floating around.

IE 5 or IE 5.5? Update if IE 5 - that thing is so buggy nothing works. I'd try that before trouble shooting anything else.
