USB 2.0 – Achieved later using drivers?

by tmurillo . Updated 24 years, 7 months ago

Please excuse my ignorance.
If Intel doesn’t support USB 2.0 in it’s 845 to 850 chipset. Can this speed be achieved afterward using drivers?

For peripheral devices using 2.0 versus internal system components. Like CDRW drives etc.

Rumors areMS will offer updated drivers for Win 2000 and XP later.

I guess if I buy a mobo with the 850 chipset, can I achieve internal or external 2.0 speed using either Intel or Win drivers?
