usb 2.0 card installed

my pc has usb 1.1,I put usb 2.0 card in and bought a usb 2.0 hub,I wanted this cos i have a camcorder and im having trouble tranfering for camcorder to pc i bought Nero 6 reloaded,when i connect camcorder to pc to tranfer video it is slow and jerky thought usb 2.0 would help but it dos’nt can anyone help please
