Several months ago I bought a USB powered TV Tuner (Leadtek Palmtop TV) for my sisters computer.
When I connected it to the computer, I realized it didn’t work without an a USB 2.0 port. Although USB 2.0 and 1.1 apparently are compatible I decided to repalce the PCI-to-USB 1.1 card with a USB 2.0 one.
The problem is that even after I did this the device isn’t working.
All the drivers are installed and no unknown device is appearing in the device manager. The tv viewing application recognizes the input device and a blue light appears on the external tuner. However when I try search for tv chanels viewing window goes black and the blue light from the TV Tuner turn off.
Therefore I think there might be a power issue and the Tuner is not receiving enough problem. I have changed the usb cable but there is no change.
Anyone has an input on how may I solve the issue?
