USB 3G modem drivers

By johnhu ·
I have a CDMA2000-1X EV-DO modem, which installed and works brilliantly on XP, but the same modem won't install on Vista, despite the label on the box saying drivers are included for Win 2000, XP and Vista!

I have Vista Home Premium with SP2 (64-bit), 4Gb RAM, 145 Gb free disk space. The modem shows "Qualcomm" on the bottom. Any ideas where I might be able to get drivers for this? The Qualcomm site doesn't have them.

Many Thanks

The driver disk didn't contain drivers for 64 bit windows Vista, I know its not much help to you but if their own website doesn't have them there seems little chance you will get them anywhere else, perhaps you need to change your modem!

When a Device Lists Vista Drivers

That means Vista 32 Bit Drivers not 64 Bit Drivers.

Unfortunately the Makers Web doesn't have any 64 Bit Drivers which are different to the 32 Bit Drivers for Vista so I think you'll either need to change the OS back to a 32 Bit or get a different modem, one that is supported on a 64 Bit OS.
