To whom this may concern:
I recently download a USB 4+1 drivers VIA Chipset. Right after I booted the
machine and tested the printer everything seem to be working fine. When I
shut the machine down to log off and restarted the computer it wantsto go
into Safe Mode. I went into device manager to see if there is any problems
but there doesn't seem to be any problems. If I remove some drivers it will
let me go into normal mode but when I boot the computer its goes back into
#3 safe mode and stop in dos screen. I still can't find any problems they seem to go back into order
but it continues to go back into safe mode. I have to shut down the comuter I want to know what the problem
is. I shut the usb drivers off. I want to knowif the VIA Chipset could
be causing the problem. I have a 400 AMD K2 with a VIA chipset.

Try going back to the original drivers. I have a VIA chipset and an amd k62 500. I had all kinds of problems with usb. I finally got a usb cable and it seems to work ok for now. I have never updated my drivers on my MB for the same reason you have now. Alot of people have had problems after an update with VIA. You can also go to their website and go to the forums and possibly find someone who has had this problem. www.viatech.com. Good luck
