USB Bluetooth Dongle cannot be detected

By desmondtan ·
I try to attach USB Bluetooth Dongle and the device is not detected.... even my usb ports are working fine as I am able to use for other devices. My winxp gives a message.. unkown device.. I have already downloaded the bluetooth driver and when I tried to seach for the hardware driver, the system simply cannot detect at all. Is there anyone here can help and advise me how should I go about it?

Thanks!

I'm assuming you're running Win XP SP2.
Download the drivers for the Bluetooth dongle.
Uninstall all usb devices, ports under Device Manager, restart PC and let XP re-install all USB ports and devices when it starts up again.
Install Blutooth driver, then connect Bluetooth Dongle.
Let us know!!

Hi thanks for the help. I have follow exactly what you mentioned, but I still cannot detect my Bluetooth Adapter, the message is " USB Device Not Recognised. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunction and window does not recongise it"

So what does this mean? Is it due to my mobo or devices?

Help needed..... Thanks
