USB Controller Problem

by anigwa . Updated 24 years, 4 months ago

In device manager when I open Universal serial bus controllers I have 4 items as follows:
SIS 7001 PCI to USB Open Host Controller
SIS 7001 PCI to USB Open Host Controller
USB Root Hub
USB Root Hub
The top two SIS have a green circle with a question mark in it. Can anyone tell me what this means and how to repair the problem?

I have 4 USB ports. I have my HP932C Printer on one.

My problem seems to have started when I tried to install my new Epson Perfection 1250 scanner. It installs fine but when I try to use it I get the error “please install epson twain driver”. The driver is obviously installed so it has to be in the USB controller.

Thank you,

Ron
