I have a customers lexmark x4550 printer i have downloaded latest driver for vista and tried to install it. when i plug the printer in via usb it sometimes states the usb device has malfunctioned but if i change usb port it works fine and if i go back to the original port it will work but if i change to another port it may not recognise again.
whats going on. Vista Premium with sp1 and fresh recovered OS.

printer works every time on my toshiba on every port on Vista Ultimate with SP1
