I have a USB External Drive Housing in which I installed an old 2.5 Gb HDD, connected up and worked fine. I changed the drive for a 40Gb unit and XP will not detect the unit. Put the 2.5Gb unit back, works fine! The installed drive is good, just replaced by a bigger one as it is almost full! Any suggestions would be welcome as I am somewhat baffled!
