USB on Windows 2000 Professional
I have a Classic Pentium on an Epox system board using VIA chip set
There is a USB controller (16 pin or 2 rows of 8 pins) in to the system board. I recently got a USB controller cable for the pins so thatI can connect a USB modem.
However, Windows 2000 apparently won?t recognized the USB controller. In device manager, I get an entry stating that it?s a unsupported USB controller. There is no driver installed for the USB controller. The modem will not be detected by the OS.
How can get windows 200o professional to work with USB?
Also, is there a test I can apply to test if USB is working?
