I have two 8G USB pen drives, one a major brand, the other a generic from China. Each drive was reformatted. Then after copying files to both, then reboot laptop or remove/reinstall pen drives, all files copied to pen drives are absent.. apparently spontaneously deleted.
PC is an IBM T22 laptop, W2K SP4. Two other USB 2.0 pen drives, 4G each have performed flawlessly with this laptop.
All suggestions appreciated.
