Hi, I don’t know why – but from one day to the other my 3 USB port on my laptop stopped working. There is no recognition of mouse or other external deviced when I plug them into either of the ports. And there seems to be no power, since there is no light in my optical mouse.
I have tried several things:
– checked the USB controllers in Device Manager. Everything is working OK.
– looked for duplicates in Device Manager (there were none)
– Done ALL Windows XP updates
– Looked in the Bios, but there is no USB setup available.
…. Frustrating. Perhaps the only solution is to buy a USB PCI Card? But I would rather that my old 3 USB ports came to live again.
