I have installed several usb to serial adapters on a HP Desktop with windows vista home premium and none of them will work. the system say it installed ok but will not connection to serial device. when i try to change port no with the properties of the device it say that all com ports above the one installed are busy. i have no com port on this machine so what is busy. is there something about the hp desktop. any help will be appreciated. henry
