USB wireless adapter stops computer from booting

The computer boots when the usb adapter is removed, but when the adaoter is in the usb port the computer will not boot. If I plug in the adapter after the computer has booted everything works. What is going on?

Change it in the BIOS

There is probably a setting in the BIOS to disable booting from a network device. A USB Wireless 'can' be considered a network device. Disable the ability to boot from the network.

By the way, if you wait long enough, the boot sequence which is searching for a boot from the network should eventually time out.
