I have some old DOS system wich runs under Windows command prompt terminal and this program uses local HP deskjet printer. DOS programs use printers thru logical pararallel referencies as LTP1, LTP2,etc.
HP says that new models of HP printers won’t have compatibility with such programs anymore because they will only use USB ports , instead of parallel ones. Unfortunatelly , I will have to use this program because it’s very complicated to translate it to VB or Delphi.
This issue will affects only the use of local printer because networks printers can be logicaly redirected to paralell ports.
I’ve asked HP and got no response. Can someone help me ?
