Use DVD-recordings on pc dvd-Rom

By erasmusw ·
Hi

I'm trying to watch my DVD's that I recorded with a dvd recorder from tv, onmy computer.
I have a dvd-rom on the Pc. But the disks never has any data on them it seems.
It says 0Mb used and free. but there is def. something on there.

It's a Philips HDRW720-G9 G-Code Dvd Recorder.
My PC has a Ricoh DVD-Rom.

What settings should I change where?
By the way, those dvd's are playable on that dvd recorder machine and other standard DVD players.

PLEASE, any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanx in advance
W

View DVD-R discs on PC

by Cybermom_z In reply to

I am looking for help on another issue when I saw this old thread. If no one mentioned it yet...you have to finalize discs made on DVD-R equipment off your television for them to play elsewhere.
At least that does apply to viewing these discs on other DVD players than the one disc was recorded on.

A disk must be FINALIZED in the PVR before attempting to use it on a PC. Manuals are available here: http://www.p4c.philips.com (then search HDRW720)
