    We are running a single domain on a Windows 2003 platform. I would like to use group policy within active directory to disable a particular group of users from accessing USB ports. Is this possible ?

      there is an article on TR about how to do this and thousands on the internet. Microsoft Technet will give you the step by step if you go look.

        Yes its possible, basically you will change the following value in registry:
        HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\USBSTOR
        Start=3 (ON)
        There is some custom ADM files on the net to disable it, use Google.
        And as CG IT said, MS Technet has a step by step on how to do it.
