user account XP Home

By hsy ·
I established a second user account which should not have administrator rights.

When starting this account, there is only the "Welcome"-screen, the acoustic signal and a few accesses to the hard disk are to be seen - but it never starts...

Selected as an administrator it works perfectly!

The priinciple account (administrator) is not affected.

What should I do, is there a work-around?

The best thing is to delete the profile. It sound like there is a problem with it. Go to My Computer properties and select user profiles. Delete the profile in question and change the permissions back to a regular user. Then log iin with that user account and a new profile will be created.
Hope this helps.

Try creating a "guest" account, then rename it to what ever you wish.
