User Accounts within XP Home Edition

By kenny ·
I had problems with XP Home Edition, the computer would not complete its boot-up process so I eventually re-installed XP Pro. This was okay but I cannot use any of the User Accounts originaly set up in the XP Home edition.
Even though I can see these accounts in c:\documents & settings, etc.
Can anyone help me with this problem?!!!

The SID's have changed. As an administrator you have rights to see folders.

Easiest thing to do is to give the user accounts existing permissions on the files and folders.

Thanks BFilmFan, do I navigate to the folder that holds these accounts? and after that how do I add those accounts to the bootup process. Does it happen automatically on re-start
