We have a PDC running NT4.0 with the latest SP. Our network consists of 95, 98, and NT workstations. What I am trying to attempt is using the User Manager for Domains\ User Environment Profiles \ Home Directory option on the PDC to automatically mapusers Z drive when they log on to any machine to a preexisting personal share on another file and print server. This way the user would have a hard map to their personal space on our file and print server. And we wouldn?t have to run around mapping people?s personal share every time they lost it. This seems to work fine if a user logs only on to an NT machine but if the user logs onto a 95 or 98 box it will not automatically map to the predefined drive (Z). And it tries to import a user profile. This of course will cause reg problems between the different OS. Is the above mentioned option only good in a total NT environment?
