User Profile

I am running Windows 2000 Pro. I installed some software the other day & when I performed the required reboot my settings were not loaded. I looked the user profiles and there were 3 that were listed as unknown & 3 that were good. One of the unknowns was 89 MB so I figured it was corrupt and deleted it – big mistake. How can I restore the associated directory under c:\documents & settings – all of my stuff is gone – please help
