User profile migration between two different DCs in the same network

By ttaonga ·
Hi,
i've got a network with windows 2000 server as DC.
We are installing a new windows 2000 server as DC with a new name and want to shift all user profiles from old DC to new DC, without making any changes to user profiles & user mail configuration. We are using POP3 email a/c with microsoft outlook & outlook express as email client.
I would like to know what all are the possible ways of "migrating user profiles & mail configuration from old windows2k server to new windows2k server DC which have a new DC name.
without making any changes to user profiles & user mail configuration."
Regards,
taonga

Active Directory Migration Tool

will allow you to migrate the users and groups from one domain to the other, and will populate the SID history in their new domain account such that the workstations "should" see the user in the new domain as the same user from the old domain, therefore the profiles will be the same.
