User Profiles while merging domains?

My company recently purchased another large company. We run a single 2000 domain with AD, and so do they. We are going to be changing them all to our domain. My concern is how do I copy the user’s profile to the new domain? The usernames will bechanging also. I can do this manually I know, but I have over 3,000 users to change over. Help!
