Users and Groups display in Windows 2000

By Oliphant ·
Problem with Windows 2000 using the Computer Management utility, when you go to Local Users and Groups, click groups, and choose Administrators. In the view it lists the Administrator, and a few other user names, but it also displays what appears to be other users in the form of maybe SID numbers? They are listed \S-1-5-21-207247691-668014067-927750060-1185 there are 2 others listed like that. Could you please tell me why this happens, thanks.

Users and Groups display in Windows 2000

If you are on a corp lan/wan they may be software delivery agents. If they are they will appear and the dissappear. search your "c" drive for "sdo" or "software", "delivery" if you find a folder with this in the name, that may be it. I would say if youare at home or using your personal pc, delete them. In fact I just created a bunch of them installing a program and then deleted them with no ill effect. they appear to be install anonymous agents for the local box.
