User's mailbox not accessible through outlook web access

I have exchange server 2003 running several mailboxes. I am having issues with a certain private mailbox. This certain user's mailbox is only accessible through ms outlook when logged locally on the domain. The problem lies with this mailbox not having outlook web access. When accessing the mailbox through http://"server"/exchange/"user" an error of HTTP/1.1 404 Resource Not Found occurs. Now I checked system attendant for this user's mailbox and made sure that the exchange feature of outlook web access is enabled, using default protocols. Every other mailbox does not have issues accessing their mail through owa except this one. I know I could probably backup the email, delete, recreate the mailbox and it should work are there other suggestion to fix it w/o having to delete the box.
