Users w/ admin rights login, then get logged out.

By spinedocs ·
I have a Windows 2000 server that has been running flawlessly for the last 2 years. We decided to upgrade to SBS2003. I was trying to login to the old server and start the migration, but any account that has admin rights to the old server can't seem to login.

I get the login prompt, I put in user name and password and it allows me to login, but no sooner do I start the login procedure, it logs me out. I have narrowed it down to accounts that have any admin rights whatsoever. User accounts that have only user rights can login with no problem.

As you may have guessed, it's kinda hard to do a migration if you can't login as the admin! I hope someone here can help me out.

Thanks guys,

This is a tech. problem, in search of a solution.

It properly belongs in "Technical Q&A," not in "Discussions." Please re-post there.

Not only will you be more likely to attract the attention of those seeking to provide answers, but you will also make it easier for those seeking discussions to find such.

Thank you.
