using 1 SATA hard drive with 2 IDE hard drives

by bshroat87 . Updated 18 years, 1 month ago

The setup I was running was 2 IDE HDs with 2 DVD drives. Recently I bought a SATA drive to add since my board also has 2 SATA connectors. When I put the SATA drive in the “slave” IDE drive is not longer showing up. I have tried switching it with one of the burners and that doesn’t work. If I connect the “slave” ide drive to the pc with my usb-to-ide cable it works and windows recognizes all 3 HDs and 2 burners with no problems. I can’t figure out what I need to do to be able to run my system with all 3 drives internally. Any help is appreciated.
