Using an AGP video card with NT 4.0 SP6

By keithw ·
Please help......I can not get NT 4.0 SP6 to use a new AGP video card I installed. The video properties always shows a standard VGA card with settings for 16 colors and 800x600, even tho I installed the video cards NT drivers both via their automatic install, them manually.....Please inform me on where I am screwing this up.....

Using an AGP video card with NT 4.0 SP6

Video agp cards seem to be a multi step process of
1) loading motherboard agp drivers (for NT)
2) loading drivers for video card
3) loading new directx drivers
4) loading monitor drivers
If you left out any of the steps it's time to start over.
Also you may need to disable the motherboard vga in bios as well.
Good Luck

If you have not yet done so, obtain the latest NT 4 video drivers from the AGP manufacturers we site.

Reinstall SP6a, reboot, then try to install the drivers.
