We have an IBM xSeries 340 with the IBM ServeRaid controller in it. The machine is set up to run RAID 5 on three physical 18GB disks, and one large partition has been created of about 35GB.
We want to image the machine because we are using it in a test environment and it may be subject to corruption. However, as we all know, help from GHOST and from IBM is of the “we can’t help you” variety.
So, does anyone have any hints on getting the right driver to work with GHOST 7 and that IBM RAID controller? I have tried the driver IPSRASPI.sys that comes on the support CD from IBM but it doesn’t work completely. GHOST (using the command line switches) will see the source and destination drives but won’t read or write to them.
We have gotten earlier versions of GHOST to work with Dell and Compaq servers with large drive sizes and using their drivers or the Megaspi.sys driver.
