Using Ghost to image a Win 2000 server

I have a Compaq Proliant ML530 server running scsi drives and using raid 5. My question is can I use Ghost v7.5 and upload an image of this server and then send that image to a new server which is a Dell PowerEdge with scsi drives using raid 5? I was told I can if I run sysprep version 1.1 on the source server being the compaq, before actually making the image. Has anyone done this before? Will it work? Any help would be apreciated.
