    Using IIS4.0 SMTP Server

    Locked

    by jwells ·

Ok.. Here is what I want to do. We currently have about 40 websites being hosted with the company I work for. We are currently using Exchange 5.5 to transfer all of thier mail. What I want to do if possibile is use IIS 4.0 SMTP Server to forward themail. For example if someone sends an e-mail to [email protected], I want it to forware to another e-mail address. So what I was figuring is that I could use *@domain.com so any e-mail address is forwared. I do not care about spam either for these domains. Hope someone can help me out 🙂

      Hi..

Could you not set the Exchange IMC to forward to the IP of the IIS SMTP, then config the IIS SMTP to deliver via DNS from there…?

This is the problem I cannot use the Exchanger Server. We have our own web domains that we need on the Exchange Box. Sorry I did not expalin myself better. The omly other solution I can think of is to setup another Exchange Server for the other domains. But I would like a solution with IIS SMTP if possibile. It would save some $$$$$. Thanks 🙂
