using office xp pro with 98se

Need office skills after layoff, Are there many problems using office xp pro with windows 98se? I need to conserve cash if poosible, not buying new OS. Current specs 127k ram, 4gb avalable disk space, and 666mgh processor. Plan to take MOUS classes,can anyone recommend cds and books for home study. Thanks
