Using Outlook Web Access and URL setup

By NateH ·
Hi all,

Relative newbie to Exchange and IIS.

I have a SBS2003 client with Exchange and IIS. Users can connect from home to the exchange server via a url: mail.company.com/exchange

I want to set up IIS so that the users type: webmail.company.com without the /exchange.

Suggestions on how to do that??

thanks

Nate

The information that you need can be found here:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;321721

In essence, you will need to create a SMTP virtual domain and make sure that an Alias record exists in your external-facing DNS that points to your MX record.

In the properties of the DEfault Web Site, click on Home Page and change it to:

- A redirection to a URL
http://mail.company.com/exchange

The client will be sent to:
- A directory below this one.
