Using USB2.0 external device

By shing ·
Hi there,

My notebook computer have PCMCIA ports supporting 16Bit/CardBus. If I use a PCMCIA USB2.0 Card to connect to USB2.0 external device (e.g. 40X CDRW), will I enjoy the full speed of USB2.0?

If not, is that limited by the PCMCIA connection? How?

Tks very much!

as far as what we known about usb2.0 is that,

as long as both ends are usb2.0 standards, it will be able to achieve the 480mpbs.

but if either end is usb1.0, it will only be the speed of usb1.0.....

as for the capabilities of the pcmcia card, i may not be able to provide much, however, you may like to refer to this website for info..
